Brian & Fiona - Wedding Ceremony
Can everyone please stand for the bride.
Welcome, and good afternoon on this beautiful day. For anyone who doesn’t know me, my name is Hannah and I am one of Fiona’s daughters. My sister, Megan, is to my right, as mum’s bridesmaid, and Devon, who is to my left, is Brian’s daughter and his best man. We are all so happy you could join us today and welcome you as a family to this celebration of Brian and Fiona’s love. I would like to ask you all to please put away your phones during the ceremony as we want everyone to enjoy it and be fully present with us. We have a lovely photographer here today to help us capture the moment so we hope for you all to limit your phone use throughout the evening.
First I would like to say thank you to everyone for being here with us. Many of you have traveled a long way to be here and for that we are truly grateful. Seeing all of you here I know that through the good days and bad, mum and Brian will never be alone. I can’t think of a better place for us to celebrate today than the home that mum and Brian have built for the five of us—this moment, seeing what they have accomplished as a team, is a testimony to their strength, patience, dedication, respect, and devotion.
Mum and Brian aren’t your typical newlyweds. They have lived a lot of their lives apart and have only in the last seven years started to grow their relationship. Mum always said, “I don’t need a man,” and while those of us who know her understand this is true, she has also always said, “Although I don’t need one, life is a lot better with a man in it.” This could not be a better description of their relationship. There is no doubt that both of these people are extremely capable on their own. However, there is also no doubt that they make each other’s lives much more exciting. These two people make an extraordinary team, and we all know that they will continue to make strides in life together.
We are gathered here today to join Brian Foss and Fiona Wilson in the union of marriage. Brian, mum, please take each others hands and repeat after me:
I, Brian, take you, Fiona, to be my wife. I vow to honor and respect you for all that you are and will become. I promise to challenge you and to accept challenges from you. I will give you my love freely and unconditionally, I will celebrate you and all of your accomplishments. I will work to inspire you, and be here to remind you of your beauty and strength. I will walk beside you with whatever life may bring. I appreciate our similarities, I acknowledge our differences. No matter what the future holds, as your partner, friend, and husband, I promise to do my best to fill our home with life, laughter, and love, today and always.

Now that Brian and Fiona have exchanged vows and rings, it gives me great pleasure to announce they are husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride.
To conclude today's ceremony, we would like everyone to join together for a photo. Please come up and find a place around us so we can remember today for years to come.
